22-year-old breakout Bologna and Italy national team defender Riccardo Calafiori is central to transfer rumors. Top European clubs including Manchester City, Liverpool, Juventus and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on the young defender.

The 6-foot and 2-inch tall left-footed defender enjoyed a successful season with Bologna under coach Thiago Motta. Ex-Bologna coach Thiago Motta was the one who changed Riccardo Calafiori to a central defender from full-back position.

Riccardo Calafiori played 30 games in Serie A for Bologna, having 10 clean sheets, winning 58% grounded duels, and a massive 71% aerial duels. Riccardo is also an excellent ball-playing defender who helped his team with 2 Goals, 5 Assists, and 90% pass accuracy.

These performances of the young Italian defender did not go unnoticed and Italian national team coach Luciano Spalleti picked him for Euros 2024. Riccardo Calafiori Started both games for Italy in the Euros 2024 unfortunately being involved in an own goal against Spain. Apart from that moment, he had two excellent games in the defense.
