BREAKING NEWS: FRENCH DEFENDER CLEARS SPECULATION ABOUT HIS FUTURE
Leny Yoro |
18-year-old Lille and French prodigy Leny Yoro, who was at the center of the transfer gossip in the past month has communicated where he wants to play next season. Top European clubs were heavily linked to securing the defender.
6 foot 3-inch tall right-footed defender Leny Yoro was a key member of the club which finished in 4th spot in French Ligue 1 qualifying for the Uefa Champions League next season.
Leny Yoro played 32 games in Ligue 1 for Lille, having 13 Clean sheets, winning 61% ground duels and 65% aerial duels. He also had 2 Goals and 92% pass accuracy.
The French International has only one year left on his contract and has a market value of around 50m Euros. Over the past two weeks Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool, and Manchester United have been showing interest in the French defender who is looking to take the next step in his career.
Real Madrid's Chief Scout Juni Calafat took interest in Leny Yoro two months ago and 60m Euros was the price set by Lille, but as we all know Real Madrid has been very precise in their transfer fees over the years. Real Madrid knew that Leny Yoro had only one year left on his contract and they never wanted to pay the massive asking price.
Instead of negotiating with Lille two months ago, Real Madrid purposely showed that they had cooled down their interest but from inside the story was different. They talked to the player and he is willing to join the Royal Whites. Real Madrid asked the player to wait for them and do not accept any other club which was offering more money to the club as well as the player. Those clubs are PSG, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Now Lille knows about the intentions of Leny Yoro to join Real Madrid and now they must finalize the transfer fee of the defender with Real Madrid or he will leave for free next season. Moreover, Leny Yoro told the interested clubs about his ambition to join Real Madrid and replied with "Thank you for your interest but I want to join Real Madrid".
Real Madrid is applying the same strategy they applied with Aurelian Tchoumeni a couple of years ago which was to have an agreement with the player and ask him to put pressure on the parent club to lower the fee and sell to Real Madrid.
Tell us your thoughts on this, Will Leny Yoro be patient and follow Aurelian Tchouameni's route?
